Directions to Kol Ami Events


Kol Ami holds services and events in a variety of settings. Directions to public buildings are given below. Directions to private homes are not posted on the website. If you need directions to an event being held in a member's home, you may get them from the contact person listed for the event on our Schedule of Events. If you need additional assistance with directions, please e-mail the Webmaster.

The Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington is located at 4444 Arlington Boulevard, Arlington, VA, on the corner of of Arlington Boulevard (Rt. 50) and George Mason Drive.

Unless otherwise specified on the Calendar of Events, we meet in the Activity Room on the lower level of UUCA. From the parking lot, enter on the lower level, then turn right and go all the way to the end of the hall. The Activity Room is on the left.

From Washington: Take the Roosevelt Bridge to Rt. 50 west. Drive about 5 mi. Go up the exit ramp for George Mason Drive; cross over Rt. 50 and the Church is immediately on the right side of the road.

From the Beltway: Take Rt. 50 (Arlington Blvd.) east to George Mason Drive exit. Church is on the right. Or, take Rt. 66 east to the Glebe Rd. exit. Go south on Glebe Rd. to Wilson Blvd. Turn right on Wilson and go to George Mason Drive. Turn left (south) on George Mason and continue until you cross over Rt. 50. Church is on the right.

From Arlington, points north or south of the church: Travel to George Mason Drive and then head towards Rt. 50.

The Mason District Governmental Center is located at 6507 Columbia Pike, Annandale, VA 22003

From I-395: Take exit for Route 236 west (Duke Street/Little River Turnpike). At first traffic light, turn right onto Beauregard Street. At next light, turn left onto Chambliss Street. At next light, turn left onto Lincolnia Road. Follow Lincolnia Road until it deadends at Columbia Pike Turn left onto Columbia Pike. The Mason District Governmental Center is on the left.

From the Beltway: Take exit for Route 236 (Little River Turnpike) east toward Annandale. Follow Little River Turnpike into downtown Annandale. Turn left onto John Marr Drive. At first traffic light, turn right onto Columbia Pike. Follow Columbia Pike past Mason District Park, and the Governmental Center is on the right.

Church of the Covenant is located at 2666 Military Road, Arlington, VA 22207-5118

From I-66 East:  Exit at Lee Highway/Spout Run. From the exit ramp, turn left onto Lee Highway. Go about 1/2 mile and the road forks (29 to left, and Military Road, a sharp right) - turn right on to Military Road.  When road ends, turn left to stay on Military Road.  Continue on Military Road through the stop light at Marcey Road and the church is on your immediate left. To enter the activity room for services, please drive around the right side of the building and enter in the back of the building.

From the GW Parkway: Exit at Spout Run Parkway (a left exit). Take the first right turn onto Lorcum Lane. Stay on Lorcum for about 1/2 mile. A right turn only lane forms. Move into it and turn right onto Nellie Custis. Follow Nellie Custis, which after its intersection with Military Road becomes Military Road. Pass through the light at Marcey Drive (the road that leads to the Potomac Overlook Park). The church is on your left. To enter the activity room for services, please drive around the right side of the building and enter in the back of the building.

From I-66 West:  Exit at Glebe Road exit (# 71). Turn right (northbound onto Glebe or Route 120) at the end of the exit ramp. Take Glebe to Lee Highway, about one mile (Route 29 – Traffic Light and Wachovia on far right corner). Turn right onto Lee Highway and proceed about one mile to Military Road (traffic light, gas station on near left corner). Turn left onto Military Road (it is called Quincy on your right).  When road ends, turn left to stay on Military Road.  Continue on Military Road through the stop light at Marcey Road and the church is on your immediate left. To enter the activity room for services, please drive around the right side of the building and enter in the back of the building.

Colecroft Station Condominium is located at 505 E. Braddock Road, Alexandria, VA 22314-2162

From the Beltway: Take Route 1 north, about 1.5 miles to (10th traffic light) Pendleton Street. Turn left to its end at West Street. Turn right on West and an immediate left onto Braddock Road. Colecroft Station is on the immediate left. The meeting room is at 505 E. Braddock Road. The door to the meeting room is separate from the door to 505, to its right.

From the GW Parkway: Go into Alexandria as the Parkway becomes Washington Street. Turn right at Pendleton (which is the 7th traffic light). Turn left to its end at West Street. Turn right on West and an immediate left onto Braddock Road. Colecroft Station is on the immediate left. The meeting room is at 505 E. Braddock Road. The door to the meeting room is separate from the door to 505, to its right.

Parking is very limited, but the Braddock Road Metro station is just across the street.
