Kol Ami prides itself on being a participatory community – on the bimah, in the classroom, and
at social events.
Volunteerism creates close bonds amongst the membership and from a practical matter allows us to keep our overhead costs low.
Hosting either a Friday evening Oneg or a Shabbat morning Kiddush is a responsibility we all share. Every member of the community must do this at least once a year. Some other opportunities to “pitch in” and help one another are listed below. This list is by no means all inclusive. It should simply serve to illustrate the wide variety of activities we enjoy together and which you may participate in. Additions to this list are sought and relished:
To volunteer for these activities, please contact Kol Ami President, Don Kraus, kolamipresident [at] yahoogroups.com.
KANVRC News is an announcement-only e-mail list for visitors who want information about upcoming Kol Ami events and programs sponsored by the Jewish Reconstructionist Federation (JRF) or Chesapeake Region JRF. Kol Ami members receive this and other information on an internal e-mail list.
